American Work Permit

In today's economy, many people want to work and live in America and are looking for ways to do so. It is actually quite easy to realize this dream. First of all, you need to decide whether this dream is short-term (temporary) or long-term (permanent). After deciding on this, you can look at the types of visas you can get.

Suppose you are thinking of going to work in the United States and want to get information about the subject before making your decision. In that case, you can find 5 different visas that you can easily get in this article.

TEMPORARY (NON-IMMIGRANT) WORK VISAS YOU CAN EASILY OBTAIN

You can go to work in the USA in two different ways: temporary and immigrant. Persons considered here temporarily can be defined as foreign persons who do not intend to settle in the USA and have gone to receive health care, business travel or touristic trips for a certain period of time. Foreign people who have gone as immigrants are people who will live and work in America. Both groups may be going to work in the United States, but they apply for a visa according to these statuses.

It is easier and faster to obtain a temporary work visa while the time required to obtain a permanent work visa as an immigrant is longer. There are mainly a few visas that you can easily obtain on a temporary basis.

H-1B: AMERICAN WORK VISA

The most frequently applied visa for those who want to work in the United States temporarily is the H-1B visa. Individuals who have received higher education in a particular profession and have a highly specialized specialized profession  are eligible to apply for an American H-1B Visa. Distinguished models and models who are involved in interstate research and development and special production projects can apply for the H-1B visa. The American H-1B visa gives the right to live and work in the USA for 3 years. If necessary, the visa period can be extended for another 3 years.

In order to apply for an American H-1B visa, the applicant must have completed at least undergraduate education in the profession in which he will work in the United States. The person who will work in this position cannot be employed for less than the minimum wage, which differs in American states. In order for the H-1B visa application to be accepted by the consulate, it is necessary to have the appropriate diploma and work experience.

H-2B: NONFARM WORKER VISA

The H-2B visa is a temporary immigration visa created to fill the seasonal shortage of workers in the non-agricultural sectors in the United States. In this type of visa, there are conditions for the employer and the employee. While the employer must show that the position will not exceed 1 year because it is seasonal, intermittent, heavy load or one-time, and that there is no American worker suitable for this position, the employee must show that he is someone who can fulfill these responsibilities and must not exceed the visa period.

In this way, you can find a temporary job and come to the United States on an H-2B visa and bring your family with an H-4 visa. Please note that the duration of the H-2B visa you receive can also be extended up to a maximum of 3 years, and your family's H-4 visa will also depend on this period.

F-1/M-1: WORK PERMIT FOR STUDENTS AND EXCHANGE VISAS

If you want to pursue full-time academic or professional training in the United States at the same time, you may qualify for one of two categories of nonimmigrant students. Category "F" is for academic students, while "M" is for vocational students. After applying for these visas, you can have a work permit under certain conditions.

WORK PERMIT FOR TEMPORARY VISITORS COMING TO AMERICA FOR WORK

To visit the United States for business purposes, you must obtain temporary visitor status for a business visa, unless you are eligible for visa-free entry under the Visa Waiver Program. B-1, WB, GB visas are included in this scope.

O-1: EXTRAORDINARY ABILITY VISA

Another type of visa you can use to work in the United States is the O-1 visa.  Individuals with extraordinary talent or achievements in the fields of education, business, science, athletics, art, film or TV can apply for the O-1 visa, which is an Extraordinary Ability Visa, and can obtain a work permit in the United States.

The O-1A visa covers the fields of science, education, business, and athletics, while the O-1B visa covers the fields of art, cinema, and TV. While it may be a requirement for people who specialize in fields such as science, education and business to have a university degree, this is not true for every field. The most important and only condition is that you prove that your talent or achievement is outstanding. For this reason, people who have Nobel, Pulitzer and Olympic medals in fields such as science, business and education, and awards such as Tony, Grammy, Emmy, Golden Globe, Oscar for art, cinema or TV are very suitable candidates for the O-1 visa.

If you have above-average success in one of these fields, you can apply for an O-1 visa to work in the United States.

OTHER TYPES OF TEMPORARY VISAS

  • H-2A: It is given to temporary or seasonal agricultural workers.

  • H-2B: It is given to non-agricultural temporary workers.

  • H-3: Awarded to interns outside the medical or academic field. This classification also applies to practical training in the education of children with disabilities.

  • I: Awarded to representatives of the foreign press, radio, film or other foreign information media.

  • L-1A: The L1 Visa is a visa issued for intra-company transfers in executive or executive positions.

GETTING A VISA AS A PERMANENT WORKER (IMMIGRANT)

Immigrants living in the United States and foreign nationals who want to come to the United States cannot work without permission from the United States government. This permit is issued in the form of Employment Authorization Documents (EADs) and is known as "Work Permits." Work Permits are photo identification cards issued by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and are very similar to a driver's license.

The USCIS I-765 form is used to apply for a work permit after having immigration status in the United States.

Around 140,000 immigrant visas are issued each financial year for foreign people and their families who want to immigrate, depending on their job skills. If you have a combination of skills, education, and/or work experience that fit the categories, you can also apply for these visa types to live and work in the U.S.

If you want to live and work in America, there are many options that will make it possible. You can come to America as a temporary (non-immigrant) or immigrant and make this dream come true. If you are a person with higher education and a highly specialized private profession, you can temporarily benefit from an H-1B visa, and if you want to come permanently, you can apply for a work permit using the USCIS I-765 form after receiving immigrant status.
