What is a Blue Card?

The Blue Card is a residence permit (Aufenthaltserlaubnis) and work permit (Arbeitserlaubnis) for qualified immigrants from outside the European Union.

What is recognition and is it mandatory?

Equivalence, adequacy and suitability with the education given in their own country are examined. The curriculum of the training, the subjects of the courses, the hours taken are checked and approved, and your right to work arises. It is not possible to work with any document or diploma that is not equivalent. In other words, if you want to do a profession outside the country where you are a specialist, you must obtain equivalence.

Can I get an employment contract without recognition?

Blue Card is a program that was created due to the urgent need for personnel in Europe, so companies are more likely to prefer candidates who have received equivalence and have complete documents.

Is equivalence given without knowing a foreign language?

Yes, it is given. Recognition is a confirmation of the suitability of the education you have received. There is no language requirement, you can improve your foreign language and save time by going to a language course during the equivalence application and finalization period (average 90 days).

How many types of equivalence results are there?

There are 3 types of equivalence. Full Equivalence: It is a type of equivalence in which your university or the institution you study at is recognized by the EU and the education you receive is considered sufficient. It is a document that allows you to work with full authority.
Partial Equivalence: Your university or the institution you studied at is recognized by the EU, but the education you received was seen as partially inadequate. It is the equivalence that you need to improve yourself in some courses and projects. You are allowed to work, but it is a document stating that you need to complete training for full signature authorization. Negative Answer: It is the equivalence result document given in case one or more of your university, graduated department, education and professions are not deemed appropriate. 96% of universities and institutions providing education in Turkey issue blue diplomas or certificates in EU standards. The probability of equivalence being negative is low.

What will the accommodation be like?

Each candidate for accommodation will meet with the company. For employees, "Is a lodging, hostel or house arranged? Will there be help with accommodation?" should be discussed with the companies, and the address of the place to stay must be obtained in writing, and the consulate will be informed in the application document.

Am I eligible for the Blue Card?

If you have received a suitable job offer from Europe, you have at least a bachelor's degree or higher from universities recognized by the European Union, you do not have a disgraceful crime, you are under the age of 50, you are entitled to a Blue Card.

Can having a Blue Card give permanent residence in the EU?
